Students will learn programming fundamentals, many different creative applications, web design tools, and general technology concepts in the following live classes:
- Computer Technology for Elementary Students (Level 1 ages 8-12)
- Information Technology I for Teens (Level 1 ages 13+)
- Information Technology II for Teens (Level 2 ages 14+)
- Computer Science I for Teens (Level 3 ages 15+)

- Please note that the registration fee for this class is per student, not per family. To enroll multiple students, please purchase multiple classes.
- All My Tek Lab classes will be conducted on the My Tek Lab website, NOT on the CMP website.
Required MATERIALS
- Laptop and or desktop computer running Windows or Mac OS

- Zoom video conferencing software
Your instructor is Stephen Souders, otherwise known as Mr My Tek. Stephen has worked in the field of information technology since he was 15 years old when he began his career by working for an ISP while still in high school.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Florida Gulf Coast University and a master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Kennesaw State University.
Over the years, Stephen has worked specifically in the web development field, managed an Information Technology department, and taught classes at Georgia Highlands College for more than 6 years.
Stephen and his wife, Jacky, also homeschool their own children and opened MYTEK LAB in 2015. Together, they have been teaching technology education to students of all ages since then. You can learn more about Stephen & Jacky Souders from My Tek Lab here.

Information Technology II (Level 2 Intermediate)
Level 2 Intermediate Computer Coding Class for ages 14+

Course Description
Utilizing similar applications and concepts, Information Technology II dives into actual coding for each application, as well as a more intermediate look into each area of study.
Information Technology II can act as a starting point for older or more advanced students and can also act as a great reinforcement of the concepts learned in Information Technology I.
In this live and interactive course, students will explore each area in more depth, work with actual code (instead of block code), work with several new applications and technologies, and complete many different projects.
Information Technology 2 meets the requirements for a Computer Education credit and is designed at an Upper Middle School and High School level.
Computer Technology is a comprehensive year-long course that will cover the following topics at various levels:
- Web Design II
- JavaScript Programming I
- VR Development II
- 3D Modeling for 3D Printing II
- 2D Game Art II
- 3D Game Development I
- Linux Introduction I
- Robotics II

Computer Science I (Level 3 Advanced)
Level 3 Advanced Computer Coding Class for ages 15+

Course Description
Computer Science 1 dives much deeper into technology and offers many professional and creative areas of learning.
Throughout this live and interactive course, students will gain an exciting look into many areas of technology from networking and Linux to machine learning, database development, and multiplayer game design.
This course builds upon Information Technology II and offers many new and exciting areas of learning.
Prerequisite: Completing Information Technology II
Computer Science 1 meets the requirements for a Computer Science credit and is designed at a high school level. Designed for Grades 10-12.
Computer Science I is a comprehensive year-long course that will cover the following topics at various levels:
- Networking Fundamentals
- Linux System Administration
- Machine Learning and AI
- Database and SQL
- Web Development
- Intermediate Game Art Design
- 3D Modeling
- Game Development
- Capstone Project
