Have you always wanted to read Charlotte Mason’s original Home Education Series but felt daunted by the difficult language?
The Annotated Charlotte Mason Series lets you dive into Charlotte’s wise words without all the frustration.
The annotations illuminate Charlotte’s words to give you clarity.
Volume 1, Home Education, is an excellent place to begin learning about the Charlotte Mason method of education.
In her first book, Charlotte discusses the details of how to educate children up to age nine.
That the mother may know what she is about, may come thouroughly furnished to her work, she should have something more than a hearsay acquaintance with the theory of education, and with those conditions of a chid’s nature upon which such theory rests.

Kim –
This is my new favorite edition of Charlotte Mason’s Home Education volume! From the clear, easy to read font/text to the thorough Plenary notes and space for making my own—I love it! In addition to the Plenary notes, another very helpful feature is the moving of “Questions for the Use of Students” from the appendix to directly behind each applicable section. This edition also includes additional appendix material that is not in my “Pink” Volume 1 (that has been much loved and is now falling apart). I am so excited to have this new resource to add to my learning about Charlotte Mason and her philosophy of education. I look forward to future volumes! Thank you CM Plenary for your hard (and helpful) work!
