PICTURE STUDY IS A JOY
Sharing the beauty of art with children is something we feel strongly about here at The Plenary. Giving students a love and appreciation of art is something that will stay with them throughout their lives. When we introduce art to children through Picture Study, they build lifelong connections to the painter, the painting, and to the world itself.
“We cannot measure the influence that one or another artist has upon the child’s sense of beauty, upon his power of seeing, as in a picture, the common sights of life; he is enriched more than we know in having really looked at even a single picture.” ~ Charlotte Mason
At The Plenary, we want to make teaching picture study simple, beautiful, and easy for you.
Each Picture Study Guide includes:
- Instructions on how to teach picture study
- A brief biography of the artist
- Eight (8) prints of the artist’s work
- Detail information about each painting
That’s all you need to bring the beauty of picture study into your home. We give you several options to best suit your family’s needs:
PDF DOWNLOAD
Our Plenary PDF Download option gives you the flexibility to study each high-resolution image from your computer or tablet, or to print the paintings yourself from home or at your local print shop.
PRINTED AND MAILED
If you would like us to do the printing for you, simply choose our Plenary Prints and we will mail them to you, complete and ready to use. Each painting is printed in full color on cardstock durable enough for school use. Please allow 1-2 weeks for Media Mail shipping.
