Sarah Collins, MSOT, OTR/L

Hi! I’m Sarah, the Homeschool OT!

Any homeschool family can and should thrive.. but that doesn’t mean that homeschooling is easy. In fact, sometimes it almost feels impossible.

When a child has walked out of the room for the 15th time because he just can’t focus. And another child is crying over the number of math problems on a page. And, after a month of gentle instruction on pencil grip, there are still tantrums every day.

I get it! With 10 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist plus 4 years as a homeschool mom, I’m here to be your advocate.

Sarah Collins, MSOT, OTR/L is an occupational therapist with a background in both pediatrics and home health, and a homeschooling parent.

She offers classes designed to help your homeschool student with Executive Functioning tasks like studying, time management, and organization.

Sarah was first introduced to homeschooling in 2016 while working as an OT in a client’s home. She was amazed at the learning atmosphere and opportunities within the home.

Now as an OT homeschooling her own family, she noticed that parents, though experts on their own children, were invariably asking the same questions and needed resources.

As a result, Collins Academy Therapy Services (aka Homeschool OT) was established.

Sarah loves teaching through living books and using activities that kids want and need to do to teach lifelong skills.
