RaeAnna Goss
Hi! I’m RaeAnna Goss and I’m the Music Specialist at The Charlotte Mason Co-op. My class is called “Fun with Sol-fa and Composer Study!”
I am a second generation homeschooler and I’ve been involved in music education since I was a teenager. I began as a piano teacher to neighborhood children and then served as assistant director in the homeschool band which developed a passion to pursue music education as a career.
I graduated from Lee University in Cleveland, TN, where I was awarded various scholarships and awards, including the Departmental Award for Music Education and the esteemed Presser Scholarship awarded to one music student each year. After college, I spent 10 years in the public schools, led workshops for music teachers, and also served as president for the local Orff-Schulwerk association.
After teaching music in the public schools, I began homeschooling my family using the Charlotte Mason method.
I created the book Composer Study Companion to bring active listening to music history lessons. I also created Solfa Sofa, a free YouTube series for teaching solfege singing and I share homeschool thoughts on my Instagram and blog.
When my family is not reading books, they are writing books! My two children created the world of The Traveler’s League that was written by their dad, author Nick Goss.
