Rachel Lebowitz

Hi! I’m Rachel, owner of A Charlotte Mason Plenary.

I am here to help you make the Charlotte Mason method work for YOU. My goal is to help you implement Charlotte’s method in a way that is personally meaningful for you and your family. I want to help you apply Charlotte Mason‘s principles in a way that is consistent with your values.

Here’s a little bit of background info about me:

My husband and I have always homeschooled our two children using the Charlotte Mason method because we feel strongly that it is an excellent method of education and we are drawn to its beauty and simplicity. Our oldest child recently graduated high school in 2021.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Houston where I studied Communications and Political Science.

Before attending college, I spent a year traveling as a member of Up With People, singing and dancing my way across the U.S. and Europe. Up With People is a performing arts organization with a mission to transcend cultural barriers and create global understanding through music.

After college, I spent many years working as a Radio and Television Journalist.

Charlotte Mason Your Way

My goal with A Charlotte Mason Plenary is to help you learn how to adapt Charlotte’s method to your family – and to help you make the Charlotte Mason method EASIER – SIMPLER – YOUR WAY

My motto is, of course, Charlotte Mason Your Way because a Charlotte Mason education is based on a method, not a system.

And a method is meant to be adapted. It is “free, yielding” and “has a few comprehensive laws.”

Here’s a quick video to tell you a little bit more about my vision for Charlotte Mason Your Way.

The Charlotte Mason method should be restful, joyful, simple, and give you room to breathe.

And, at the same time, it can give your child an excellent education that is full of life-giving ideas that will nurture him throughout his life.

After all, as Charlotte said, the question is not “How much does the student know once he has graduated from your homeschool?” – the real questions to ask are: “How much does he care?” and “How full is the life he has before him?”

I will be working hard to help you implement the Charlotte Mason method in a way that is meaningful for your family.
